Marshfield Public School Foundation Teacher Grant

The Marshfield Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors is proud to announce we are now taking grant applications for the 2025-2026 school year. This is the twentieth year we have been able to offer these grants to our teachers.

All applications must be submitted online. Please carefully review the rules and guidelines below to complete your grant application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Important Note:
Educators may apply for both the MPSF Teacher Grant and the Martha Fyan Foglesong Grant, but those approved will only receive one grant award per year.

Purpose
To promote the education of the students of the Marshfield Public School system by providing educational materials, improved educational environment, or special studies that might otherwise not be available.

Qualified Applicants
Any educator of the Marshfield Public School system may apply. They may re-apply each year for the same or different purpose.

Timeline
The application period for this year opens February 1, and ends March 5, 2025.

Applications submitted after March 5, 2025 will not be considered by the MPSF Board of Directors.

Grant Amount
The maximum dollar amount of each teacher’s grant is $500.
If multiple educators submit one application collectively, the award amount may be up to $500 per educator listed, with a maximum amount of $1,500.

Quantity of grants
The number of grants shall be determined by the Marshfield Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors each year.  No educator will be awarded more than one grant per year.

Payment of grants

All purchases are to go through the school. Once the total amount has been spent, the school will send the MPSF notice with copies of invoices, and the school will be reimbursed for the proper amount, not exceeding the amount of the grant.

Rules/guidelines for application
The following will be required to be completed by any educator of the Marshfield Public School system before consideration of the grant application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.


 
  • Application Amount
    Must include a SPECIFIC list of items, quantity, amount, vendor and TOTAL amount of grant application.  Applications submitted without this information will not be considered.

    Important Note:
    If your total amount exceeds the $500 maximum award per educator, you must explain how the rest of the funding will be obtained. Applications submitted without this explanation will not be considered.

     
  • Explanation of Need
    SPECIFIC statement about how this grant award would fulfill a need and/or benefit the students of Marshfield Public Schools. General statements such as “software will be purchased” will NOT be accepted.  Applications submitted without specific information will not be considered.

     
  • Deadline for Purchase
    Grant funded expenditures MUST be submitted no later that November 1, 2025. Extensions may be given for Spring activities/programs, subject to approval by the Superintendent.

     
  • Reimbursements
    All reimbursements will be made directly to Marshfield Public Schools. Proper bills and invoices must be submitted for reimbursement through the Marshfield Public Schools. No payments will be made to the educator. 

     
  • Ownership
    All grant funded purchases are the property of Marshfield Public Schools and stay with the building/grade level listed on the original grant application.

     
  • March 5, 2025 application deadline will be strictly adhered to.


Selection of the grant recipient(s) will be determined solely by the Marshfield Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors or a sub-committee as directed by the MPSF Board of Directors

All applications shall be presented to the Marshfield Public Schools Foundation by the Superintendent.
