Growing Educators in Marshfield (GEM)
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage MHS students to pursue a career in education – and perhaps return to Marshfield to do so. Up to two MHS seniors may receive annual awards of $500 – renewable for up to three additional years. Recipients are also eligible for a $1,000 bonus if hired to teach in the Marshfield R-1 School District. The maximum that could be received is $3,000.
Applicants must: be a senior at MHS; enroll in a four-year college/university; and plan to major in elementary and/or secondary education.
Funds are administered by the Marshfield Public Schools Foundation – payable at the conclusion of the first semester upon verification of the student’s full-time enrollment, GPA of 2.5 or above, and declared major in education.
